1. Who we are

Sigalix (“we”, “us”) is a software engineering and cloud company based in Damas, Yaoundé III, Republic of Cameroon. We decide how and why the personal data described in this policy is used. You can reach us at info@sigalix.com or +237 689 699 688.

This policy covers sigalix.com and our dealings with clients, partners and job applicants. Data held inside Sigalix platforms (LoungeOS, Syllabus, Lodgix and Dayline) is covered by the privacy notice of each platform and by the agreement with the organisation that uses it.

2. What we collect

When you contact us: your name, organisation, email, phone or WhatsApp number and your message.
When you book a call: the details you give our scheduling provider, and the time of the call.
When you apply for an internship: your name, contact details, links to your CV, portfolio and profiles, and your motivation statement.
When you work with us: the contact and billing details needed to deliver and invoice the work.
When you visit the site: basic technical data such as your IP address, browser type and the pages requested, kept in server logs for security.

3. Why we use it

To reply to your message and prepare a proposal, because you asked us to.
To deliver and invoice the work in our contracts.
To assess internship applications and contact candidates.
To keep the site and our systems secure, which is in our legitimate interest and yours.
To meet our legal, tax and accounting obligations.

We do not use your data for automated decisions that significantly affect you, and we do not send marketing emails unless you have asked to receive them.

4. Who we share it with

We never sell personal data. We share it only with service providers that help us run the business, such as hosting, email and call scheduling, under contracts that oblige them to protect it and use it only on our instructions; and with public authorities when the law requires it.

5. Transfers outside Cameroon

Some of our providers store data outside Cameroon. When that happens we choose providers with strong security practices and contractual safeguards that keep your data protected to the standard required by Cameroonian law.

6. How long we keep it

Enquiries: up to 24 months after our last exchange, unless they lead to a contract.
Internship applications: up to 12 months after the decision, or longer if you agree to stay in our talent pool.
Contract and invoicing records: for the period required by accounting and tax law.
Server logs: no longer than 90 days.

7. How we protect it

Access is limited to the people who need it, administrative accounts use two-step sign-in, and data travels over encrypted connections. Our Trust Center describes our practices in detail.

8. Your rights

Under Cameroon’s Law No. 2024/017 of 23 December 2024 on personal data protection, and the GDPR where it applies, you may ask to see the data we hold about you, correct it, delete it, restrict or object to its use, receive a copy in a portable format, and withdraw any consent you gave. Write to info@sigalix.com with the subject “Data request”. We will reply within 30 days. If you are not satisfied, you may complain to the national personal data protection authority.

9. Children

sigalix.com is not directed at children. Information about pupils inside Syllabus is processed on behalf of their school and governed by the school’s agreement with us.

10. Changes to this policy

When we change this policy we update the date at the top of this page. If a change is significant, we will say so clearly on the site and, where we can, tell the people affected directly.

2. Using the site

You may browse, read and share links to the site for any lawful purpose. You may not:

copy large parts of the site or collect its content automatically by scraping or similar means;
attempt to reverse engineer, disrupt or overload the site or the systems behind it;
try to gain access to any account, system or data that is not yours, except under our responsible disclosure rules;
use the site to send unlawful, misleading or harmful material.

3. Intellectual property

The content of this site, including text, designs, code, the Sigalix name, the Meeting Point symbol and the LoungeOS and Syllabus names and marks, belongs to Sigalix. You may not use them without written permission, except to refer to us accurately.

4. Information on the site

We keep the site accurate and up to date, but its content is general information, not professional advice. Prices and product details may change. A quote or commitment is binding only when we confirm it in writing.

5. Client work

Projects, subscriptions and services are governed by separate written agreements. Where one of those agreements differs from these terms, the agreement applies.

6. Links to other sites

The site links to other websites, including loungeos.app, syllabus.cm and our call scheduling provider. Their own terms and policies apply when you use them.

7. Liability

The site is provided as it is. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect losses arising from your use of the site, or for interruptions outside our reasonable control. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

8. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Cameroon. Disputes will be heard by the competent courts of Yaoundé, after an honest attempt to settle them by discussion.
